Furness Rly 2-4-0 No 4 1. FR loco red with lining and intials. This was the Furness Rly's standard passenger class until the advent of the 4-4-0s in the 1890s. Nineteen were built by Sharp, Stewart in 1870 - 1882. No 4 had been built in 1873 as No 12. It was renumbered in 1899 and withdrawn in 1920, so this model shows it between those years. One of the class just reached the LMS as No 10002 but was withdrawn in 1925 without being renumbered. Seven others were converted to 2-4-2Ts, two of which also just reached the LMS.
