Furness Rly 0-6-0 No 55 3. Modelled here as modified by Pettigrew after 1896 with vacuum brakes and steam heating. The numberplate has been moved to the cabside, Pettigrew fitted some modified 'Sharpies' with larger boilers, but not No 55. Nearly half the 'Sharpies' joined the LMS in 1923 as Nos 12000 - 12014 (with original boilers) and 12065 - 12076 (reboilered). Few were renumbered or repainted (unlined black), and all had gone by 1930. No 115 survives beneath the Carnforth - Barrow line at Lindal, where it was engulfed by the 1892 subsidence.
