46229 Duchess of Hamilton runs light to Carlisle on Sat 27th July 1963 after working the 1L27 down Lakes Express to Penrith. Chalked on the cover of the insde cylinders is the headcode 3L07, denoting the 2153 SX Willesden - Carlisle parcels and milk empties. The loco carries an 8A Liverpool Edge Hill shedplate; it was allocated there from April 1961 until withdrawal in February 1964. CRA Cowper Collection Ref COWP096C.
